I'm taking the bullet train G79 to Guangzhou from Beijing the 31th of August. Is these train usually full? I see I can buy tickets here on travelchinagudie but it feels easier to do it when I get to Beijing. Do you think there will be any problems getting tickets if I buy them 3 days before deparute?

And can I expect any food selling on the train, anything a scared foreigner will eat?

College students will go back to their universities at the end of August. I guess that it will be a bit crowded during that time. I think you should buy the ticket as early as you can. The food on the bullet train is more hygienic. The fast food is served on the train. There are coffee, snacks and drinks on the train too. I think you can eat it.
