According to China Railway Corporation, all passengers can cancel or change their train tickets at any railway station from September 1, 2013. At present, passengers have to cancel or change their train tickets at designated railway stations before the train departs. The designated railway stations refer to the stations where passengers buy the train tickets or where they board the train.

At the same time, new train ticket refund policy will be implemented from September 1, 2013. If passengers cancel their train tickets early than 48 hours before the train departs, they will pay 5% of the par value of the train tickets as cancellation fee. If they cancel their tickets between 24 and 48 hours before the train departs, the cancellation fee is 10%. If they cancel in 24 hours before the train departs, the cancellation fee is 20%.
