I am from Singapore and I wish to visit Shenzhen and stay there for 21 days during the 2014 Chinese Lunar New Year.

The Chinese Authority allows Singapore Citizens to visit China for 15 days without the need to apply for a Visa.

A friend has told me that at the end of 15 days, I can leave for Hong Kong or Macao and immediately make a U-Turn back to Shenzhen on the same day.

Can anyone advise me whether what my friend has said is true?

Thank you very much for your kind assistance.

GUEST9783 Yes, you can do it what your friend told you. But don't do it too frequenly. Otherwise, the immigrant officials might think that you intentionally escape from the visa.

Here is another way: go to the local PSB to extend your stay.

GUEST92131 Getting a 30 day visa is cheaper than going to HK and back, or going to the PSB office.

GUEST92131 Public Security Bureau - like Homeland Security. They issue visa extensions.
