Hi
I'll be going to china in a month's time for 6 weeks for bit of study/travel, and was just wondering what would be the best way to take money over.

I'm thinking travellers check would be the best way, and are their any particular ones that would be recommended? (eg, travellex, etc)

Also, how easy is it to find ATMs to do cash advance with a credit card?
Would it help to carry bit of US dollars as well?
How widely is that accepted in china?

Thanks so much for all ur help!

I would recommend both traveller cheques and a bank card. No need for USD cash. Most banks cooperate with the Bank of China - you can find branches of the BoC on every corner. If banks are closed you can use your card on outdoor ATMs - if your card gets lost or scratched you have your cheques......thats enough.
