![]() | Hello everyone!!! There's this 4-month music course in China that I'm dying to enroll to. But the music school said that they don't have the capability to process student visa. We (citizen of Philippines) are only allowed 30 days tourist visa to China, 60 days for double entry. Is there any other way I could stay in China for this study? Any reply will be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance ;) Juan |

![]() | I am afraid that you can't. According to the new regulations, all foreigners must come to China with proper visas for certain purpose. If you want to study in PRC, then you should apply for a X visa. Otherise, you will have some trouble when the authorities learn that you don't have proper visa for your study. It might affect your future applications for Chinese visa. |

![]() | Hello JYMMYB, thanks for replying! The class that I will be having is a once-a-week one-hour class only. Just like the cooking classes for tourist in Bali. It's more like a leisure + educational classes. Except that mine is much longer. Would that count as "serious" studying? |

![]() | Hi. How long you want to stay in china? In here, many of peaple got the resident permit for 1year to studaying. If you got the residence permit, you can stay till it expired and can get muti-entry. The other one is L single-entry visa for 180 days. but I think it hard to get it if you the first come to china. THanks |

![]() | According to the new entry and exit management rules, foreigners will be deported under these conditions: 1. Those who are required to leave before certain date don't leave before the deadline. 2. Those who are forbidden to enter China. 3. Those who stay or work in China illegally. 4. Those who break other Chinese laws and are sentenced to be deported. Those who are deported can't apply for Chinese visa again in 1 (5 years maximum) year. If you hold a L, you can't work or study in China because it's for the tourists only. If you were reported to the police, you would face serious punishment. Anyway, it's your call. |

![]() | Hi JIMMYB, Thanks again for taking time to reply. If those are the rules then I won't be able to study there. Anyway, I won't risk get deported or be fined. I'll look for other country who offer the same program then. I appreciate your time, see you around... ;) |

![]() | You are welcome. I just posted the info I found here, hoping that it is useful. The rules are rules. Perhaps, another member (chinavisa) here can provide you a practical solution. She is a visa agent and should know more more than me. |
