guest88181 Hey,

i am going to china next year on a tourist visa and plan to sign up to a school for 6 months and therefore switching to a student visa out there. I know the visa regulations have changed but i wanted to know if this is still doable? Also do you have to leave and re enter after changing visas?

And can a british citizen still re apply for visas in hong kong?

Thanks!

GUEST7894 Yes, you have to get out of China in order to apply for your student visa. I read some other posts on the internet. Although HK has implemented a new rule that all applicants who apply visas there must have HK resident permits. However, British and American people still get their visas there.

So you can go to HK to give it a try.
