Many foreign friends have come across the situation that they want to work in Guangzhou, but they are not familiar with the local policy. What documents do they need to apply for a Z visa and how long it will cost?

A Foreign employees employed by independent investment, joint venture, and foreign investment enterprises and their dependents (spouse or children) should hold "Z" (vocational) visa when entry, and finish resident application procedures at Exit & Entry Administration, Public Security Bureau within 30 days after entry.
