Parcel Post from Canada and China Customs ?

Can anybody advise if I may have a Customs problem if my son in Canada sends me a laptop and ebook reader as a gift, value approx Y4,200, via UPS toJilin Province ?

GUEST8904 If you are lucky, the customs won't open your package for a check. Then you won't be taxed. If your package was picked up and checked by the customs, you would have been taxed. Without paying the tax, you can't take the package back.
