2 year L visa

guest92131 In 2011 I received a 2 year L visa, from my local Chinese consulate. This visa was offered to people who are married to Chinese citizens.

Last week I went to the nearest Chinese consulate and the clerk informed me that they no longer offer this type of visa at this location.

Does anyone know why? Is it offered in other consulates?

GUEST7889 GUEST92131,

You should apply for Q type now. There are two kinds: Q1 and Q2. Q1 allows you to stay more than 180 days. Q2 allows you to stay less than 180 days.

GUEST20101 I seem to remember that the 2 year visa was offered only to those who had lived in China for more than 3 (?) years? Was this the PSB office?
