Highspeed train from nannig to guilin

I am planning to go to China in June and would like to take the train from nanning to guilin.

Is there a way to book the tickets in advance from outside China?

If not, can I also book that ticket if I am for example in Beiing? where I arrive first?

You can book your ticket outside of China via some ticket agents. They charge you handling fee and then deliver your tickets to your booked hotel in China. If you are scared, you can buy the ticket when you arrive in Beijing.
