| Voting without time limit Note: Guest voter(s) are not displayed here. It’s all good news. However, another piece of disappointing news was reported recently. It’s reported that an elevator is being equipped to the South Gate City Wall. Xian City Wall Scenic Area explains that the purpose of equipping the elevator to the city wall is to offer convenience to the old and disabled people. With the help of the elevator, they needn’t climb the steep steps to reach the top of the city wall. However, it’s said that a crenel has been removed in order to equip the elevator. I feel sad that the intactness of the city wall is destroyed just because an elevator is going to be equipped. Latest update: Xian Municipal Bureau of Cultural Heritage has ordered City Wall Administrative Board to stop equipping the elevator to the City Wall. The reason is that the plan of equipping the wall with an elevator hasn’t been approved by the State Bureau of Cultural Heritage. |

GUEST92131 | It's a step in the right direction. Compared to other countries, China is completely unfriendly for the disabled and the elderly. |

| Latest update: The steel frame used to equip the elevator has been removed, according to Shaanxi Provincial Bureau of Cultural Heritage and Xian Municipal Bureau of Cultural Hertiage. It means that there will be no elevator equipped to the Xian City Wall. |
