Should book train ticket in advance??
Jul 7, 2014 22:40
guest91139 Hi All,

I'm travelling from Beijing to Xian using the night train on the 6th of August. Should I buy ticket in advance via internet or is it pretty safe to buy the ticket when I'm in China 5 days before my train journey? Because if I buy through internet, I will be charged 8 dollars additionally. So is there a lot of chance I could not secure the ticket 5 days before departure?

Would it be the same case if I make a return journey from Xian to Beijing and from Xian to Huashan? Because the ticket from Xian to Huashan only costs 9 dollars and if I have to pay the advanced booking fee of 8 dollars, it's almost the same price as the ticket.

Please help me out!

Thank you :)

GUEST8964 GUEST91139,

I think you should book the train tickets between Xian and Beijing in advance. It's summer vacation now. Many people set out to travel. Beijing and Xian are two popular destinations. I am afraid you may not buy the tickets successfully when you arrive.

However, you needn't buy the tickets from Xian to Huashan in advance. There are many high speed trains every day. Also you can take bus from Xian to Huashan too. It's not a problem.

You'd better to buy tickets at the wicket by showing your Passport directly to conductor. As if you buy ticket on internet ,there may be some problems happening either booking or collecting .
