Social Life in Hefei, Anhui province

Hi,
I'm moving to Hefei at the end of Aug to teach at The University of Science and Technology of China.

Does anyone here live in that area or know anything about the social life there? I've heard there are not that many foreigners there and don't want to be stuck in an isolating area.

Welcome to Hefei. Do not be afraid. You will not be isolated from foreigners. There is a small but vibrant community of expats at ustc. Besides there is an expat bar 500 meters from the campus in addition to several western-style pubs and bars. If you have any questions send me a message. My email is argufier and then gmail dot com.
