Will I have trouble at the airport with a one way ticket (business visa M)

guest10156 I have applied for a business visa category (M) and should be getting it next week. I want to only purchase a one way ticket from Melbourne. Is that possible? Will I have trouble when I arrive in China? I am getting a 60 day double entry visa, so that means I need to leave after 30 days and re-enter. Can I say I intend to cross over to Hong Kong. Do I need to provide proof for that trip?

The reason I am not getting a return ticket is because I plan to travel to Thailand to see a friend but I don't have have dates confirmed. I want to be able to stay in China for atleast 1.5 months before flying to Thailand.

GUEST6746 I don't think you will have any problem when you enter China if you have your double-entry M type in your hands. Yes, you can go to HK and reenter mainland China to activate your second entry after your first 30 days duration is over.

I am afraid that you can't do that. The departure hall and arrival hall are separated. Even you can exit without air ticket, you still unable to reach the arrival hall from the departure hall.

The easiest way is to go to Hong Kong or Macau and then get back again.
