I went to Sand Lake years ago ,and I spent a pleasant time there,hope to share with all of you.

The sand lake in Ningxia Province? How far is it from Yinchuan city?

Hey I was there 3 years ago. I didnt like it that much though, as it was all packed with tourists and garbage on the sand. The night I spent by the lake was very nice. I rented a tent and had a great over night talk with the owner of the BBQ shop. Without the crowd the lake was all nice and quite. Fresh breeze.
I wonder how much it has changed since I was there.

I burned my skin when I swam in the sand lake
:( I felt quite intresting that the Yellow River is by one side and you can see camel in the other side ,by the way ,ridding on a camel is more funny than a horse:)

Sand Lake is not recommended if you're travelling on a tight budget.
