I need to go to Harbin to get married to my Chinese fiancé. I got my marriageability affidavit already. We live in Beijing but her hometown is in Harbin. Does anyone know how long it takes to do the marriage paperwork in Harbin? One day, two days, three? Are those offices open on the weekends? Are they closed during Chinese Festivals? I'm assuming the last question is a yes, but you never know and it doesn't hurt to ask.

Thanks!

GUEST5673 Do you mean registering your marriage at local civil affairs office? If you got all required documents, it just takes several minutes to get it done. However, you may queue up if there are many couples. Generally speaking, one day is ok. Yes, the civil affairs office is closed duringfestivals and at weekends.
