I plan to take bus from Nanning to Bama County. Then take bus to visit Baimo Caves, Crystal Palace Cave and Longevity Village (Ping'an) on 3 Jan, 2015. Spending 2 or 3 nights at Bama. Any advice on best traveling plan, timing as well as where to stay overnight to optimize time. Also average temperature expected at the cave area.

GUEST678674 Fred, you may take train or flight from Nanjing to Nanning. Then you can take bus from Lang Dong Long Bus Station to Bama. As for accommodation, do you prefer hotels or farmer' houses? The local temperature is from 18 to 20 or 21 degrees Celsius.

The county is located 300 kilometers northwest of Nanning, the capital of Guangxi. Every morning, there are long-distance buses running from Nanning Bus Station and Nanning Passenger Transportation Center to Bama.

Deluxe bus starts from Nanning at 8:00 am and arrives at Bama at 3:00 pm. To visit centenarians, tourists need to contact the county government beforehand.
