Are the fabric markets closed during Chinese New Year and when is the Chinese New Year?

Yes, the fabric markets closes during chinese New Year, the same as all the other markets. The Chinese New Year is seven days from 18th Feb. Usually markets have longer holiday they close one week before the Chinese New Year.
