Hi I'm traveling from Guilin to Yangshuo June 20th I just find out
from a travel agency that the price for the cruise with
transportation from the Hotel to the Harbor is 50$ per person I
just wanted to know if someone knows if this is too expensive,
and if we can find it chepaer if we buy it there

Well, that's about the amount. $50 includes cruise ticket, transpo and a small amount of profit. If you require only these two services, it's nomal that they will charge a certain amount of service charge, they live on something, too.

There might be something cheaper, for the competition drives the price low (and quality up?)

Did they say if the transpo private or big bus for a large group of people?

$50 does seem really expensive - in a town where you can stay a week in hotel for that much.

I will also be in Guilin area June 16 or 17, and want to take this river trip. I plan to just go without any reservations, and negotiate on the spot. I hope for the best.

Wow, this is not normal profit, this is a crazy rip-off price........lets cheat lowais;-)
