guest15137 I wonder if we can get the discount for entrance fee being senior tourists over 65 years old visiting National parks, museum, etc in China. Last October, we visited zhangjiajie, Wulingyuan, Fenghuang...we showed our passports which the ages shown over 65 years old. Everywhere we went, we were charged normal entrance fee as the guide said that it is not applicable. I think the guide tried to overcharge us. Or the senior discount only apply for Chinese citizens? Since the fees are very expensive and we visited many places where fee required. It came up almost 1000 yuans for one week there.

GUEST67U6 GUEST15137,

Honestly, it depends on the scenic area ticket policy. Take Forbidden City, concessionary tickets are available for Chinese senior visitors. However, children and students who meet the requirement can enjoy concessionary tickets no matter they are Chinese or not. You can confirm this by visiting its Chinese and English website.
