Could anyone recommend a place where i can see alternative, punk, or metal rock bands in Beijing? I heard the alternative rock scene is big in Beijing.

I guess that you could find some on Sanlitun Bar Street. But I have never been there, I only heard this place. Mama always said a good girl should not go there.

Nightlife in Beijing is the same as it is everywhere else in china.... very bad.

I can only advise you to read "That's Beijing" magazine to see whats goin on.

I can't imagine how bad it is .It must have some splendid places of fun and leisure in Beijng I think.
