Visa application_itinerary in China

guest25250 Hi guys,

I'm applying for a Chinese visa from the US. I'm just wondering, how specific do we need to be on our itinerary in China on the application? I'm still figuring out where I want to see in China and looking for hotels, but I want to get my visa done soon.

Thanks a lot!

I'm in the same boat. We are planning an independent tour. We will use a visa service since this will be our first visa and it is cheaper than driving to the Chinese Embassy in Houston.

As I understand it you need one of three things:

1. An invitation from a tour service.
2. An invitation from a Chinese resident.
or
3. Copies of your e-ticket, hotel reservations and itinerary.

I plan to make plane reservations (the most expensive to change but easiest to determine the dates), and book hotels that can be changed without too much of a penalty in case our schedule changes. Then I will outline our trip plans and send everything to the visa service.

Thank goodness there are 10 year visas now.
