One excursion I would like to make is to visit the Mutianyu section of The Great Wall. I understand it is possible to stay the night in one of the forts - called Gubao Villa, but I can't find any further information. Can anyone tell me how to get to Gubao Villa from Beijing and how to book a room in the fort? Thank you for your interest.

LORRAINE Points: Join Date: Apr 13, 2004 Status: Offline	i stayed on the great wall this last summer, it was one of my favorite memories from a week in beijing. it was also one of the cheapest. i am not sure about mutianyu, but i went to another section of the wall near Huairao and there were no hotels in sight. bring a sleeping bag and a pad and tons of water! its worth the invonveniences that you might expect from a night out. JANNE Points: Join Date: Apr 6, 2004 Status: Offline	Hi stella, pls email this travel agent:- sina.com\|asy_travel if not mistaken they are just going to organise a overnight trip at Great Wall for Y190 inclusive : transportation, lodging, entrance fee, meal. It is very cheap. One thing the tour guide Mr Yang very helpful, kind and honest.
