What should I pay for an interpreter in Shanghai?

Most of them speak English but one in Shanghai is limited and we would like an interpreter. We have another friend who could help with this but she may not be able to get off work. The family in Shanghai are in their late 20's to early 30's and have a 6 year old daughter. We would prefer a female their age. I think they would be more comfortable. We would need the translator for 4-8 hours a day for 3 or 4 days while we visited and went sightseeing. Our friends are in the New Pudong area. What should we expect to pay for this service? Can you suggest any alternate ways to accomplish this?
