What is your problem when learning Chinese

As a native Chinese speaker, a lot of my friends asked me to help them with Chinese learning. To better understand the problem and develop my method of teaching them, I want to know: what is your biggest problem when learning Chinese?

Obviously Chinese is difficult for me. All things considered, any outside dialect is hard for a non-local, isn't that so? Indeed, kind of. Not every foreign language are just as difficult for any learner. It relies on upon which dialect you're originating from. My problem is that I am not able to understand Chinese characters.
