I will be arriving at the bayiun airport in Guangzhou and I would like to take the metro to Beijing Lu will I be able to carry my luggage on the metro without any problems.

Yes, you can carry your luggage on the metro. But it's inconvenient if you carry too much luggage because you need to take subway line 3 and then change subway line 2 at Jiahewanggang Station. I personally suggest you take airport line 5 and get off at Haizhu Square directly. Then just walk to Beijing Road. It's much more convenient.
