Usually I go through the 24 hr transit line but that reroutes me through security.
What are the steps I need to take to get the right stamp and exit the airport? I am just not as familiar with this process of entering China without a visa during a layover.

Thanks!

GUEST79054 Could you tell what passport you hold? If you are one of the 51 countries whose citizens enjoy 72 hours free transit, then there is nothing to worry. After you land at the airport, there are clear directions that lead you to the place where you go through 72 hours free transit. The officers there just give you a stamp on your passport. With that stamp, you can exit the airport. And you need to go through the security check again when you get back to take your plane to leave.
