What is the best way to travel between the Shekou area of Shenzhen and Songshan Lake in Dongguan?
Private driver takes 1- 1 1/4 hr for 700 rmb, looking for less expensive alternative

You can take Shekou line and get off at Shi Min Guang Chang (市民广场) Station. Then change Longhua Line and get off at Shenzhen North Railway Station. It takes 1 hour and 10 minutes. Then walk to Shenzhen North Bus Station to take direct bus to Songshanhu. The bus departs every hour from 7:20 to 19:30. It costs CNY 30. The bus journey is around 70 minutes.
