Hi my name is Ian, and I just finished teaching English in Shanghai. I am a 23 year old american, who is trying to find out where to meet some folks who would be interested in traveling. I am just trying to find out if you all have some suggestions on places in Shanghai to meet some folks who wanna travel around for the next few months.

You can meet and match up with plenty of people with the same ideas of travelling in hostels. There are always some people going the same way. And even if not, I sometimes met the same people again in a totally different place in China. To meet someone again by chance in cities with up to 20 million people - it is crazy! China can be a small place sometimes;-)

Hi Ian,
My name is Lois. I am in the same situation as you. I finish teaching in about 2 weeks and then i have a couple of months off to travel too. I wanna meet some people to go traveling with too.
