Beijing from 4 Oct to 7 Oct: HELP!
Sep 27, 2015 11:31
Hi everybody,

I'll arrive in Beijing from the 4th Oct to the 7th Oct, and I know this period is the Golden Week, so I know Beijing would be a mess.

That's why I'm asking: what to do? I mean, I have to clean my trip? Or there is some "trick" to visit Beijing during Golden Week in a "good" way? I mean: for sure Tienamen Square, the Forbidden City and the Great Wall will be places not to go...but my question is: there is something else to see in Beijing that will be not so crowded? Or it would be 100% a mess?

I'm really confused, I really don't know what to do...

GUEST5677822 Hey, I experienced the crowdedness last year. It was really a mess. Every attraction was full of visitors. Most were Chinese. If you miss those popular sites, then I should say that you didn't tour Beijing. If you plan to visit the great wall, then please choose to visit Mutianyu, Simatai or Jinshanling Part. Go there as early as you can so that you may not encounter too many visitors. This means that you need to get up very early.

There won't be too many tourists on Oct. 7 because they need to get back to their home and be ready for their work on Oct. 8.
