Hi there,
Can anyone help please. I'm hoping to teach English in China after just gaining a TEFL qualification. (I don't have any teaching experience, just volunteering in Cambodia & Vietnam) I was planning on arriving in China on a visitors visa and then hopefully securing a job which would entitle me to a "Z" visa. Looking at the requirements for a visitors visa it advises that an outgoing ticket must be obtained, but not sure as to when I would be actually leaving if a job opportunity should arise.
I'm looking at flying into Hangzou and travelling up via bus or train to Shanghai/Beijing. Visa requirements also state you have to give a full itinerary. My planned arrival date will be 13th January, height of the cold season, any other travel/teaching recommendations also would be a great help :-)
Many Thanks

GUESTFIONA FITZYR1,

Honestly I am afraid that it's not easy to find a job. You know, the employer is responsible for getting the work permit for you before you apply for a Z type. However, one of the requirements for work permit is that you at least have two years working experience. This rule is implemented strictly in Beijing, Shanghai and other developed cities.
