Need Help with Itinerary, Yichang, Shanghai, Bejing????? Where else?

PHILOSOPHER Points: Join Date: Jun 14, 2005 Status: offline	My fiance and I need to fly from New York City to China, departing June 29 or 30 and returning July 16 or 17. He will be on business in Yichang from July 1 to July 10. Otherwise, we want to travel. We would like to make the most of our time in China, especially July 11 to 16, but within a reasonable budget. Can anyone suggest itineraries? I am particularly interested in private tours that somewhat avoid tourist traps. I am not sure where is best to fly into or out of... Our touring will probably actually start around Yichang after my fiance completes business on July 10. I'm hoping we can do some of the Three Gorges stuff in the evenings after he works. Thanks!!
