New passport, what to do with the Foreign expert certificate?
Dec 7, 2015 02:08
guestMorgen Good afternoon!
Iam a citizen of Ukraine, working in one of the international schools in Zhejiang, Shaoxing.
I got my Foreign expert certificate in Sep 2014, from an agency I used to work for before.
My passport expires in 20 months, so I am going to get a new one beforehand in 40 days (going to Ukraine for it).
I am going to have two passports :
1. the one with my current Z visa, that expires on 30 of June
2. a new one, that I want to use to get a new one year visa.
The thing, I am worried about - my Foreign expert certificate has the old passport number in it.
I am not a native speaker, and my school can't make a new certificate for me, they can only prolong the old one.
What should I do in this situation?
Asking for your help and advice

GUEST13427 Hi

Did you work as teacher before in other province?

Foreign expert certificate in Sep 2014(valid until 2019)
passport expires in 20 months (around Aug 2017)
current Z expires on 30 of June
you will have two Passport.

Just do not change anything, use your old passport.
Do not be afraid because you are non native speaker, your school should be proud that have you.

GUEST24056 Thank you for the answer!
I'm not sure if I can use my old passport. If I'll get a new contract, it will be from Sep 2016 to July 2017 - that means, my passport expires adter one month, and as far as I know, Z visa can be given omly if my passport expires after more than 6months after the contract's end
