Convert X2 to X1(or resident permit)?

BABAKBYATT Points: Join Date: Jan 12, 2016 Status: offline	I planed to study in Shanghai for two semister ( One year) and accepted by th University. They sent me the Addmission letter and the jw201, but the duration I study on the addmisstion letter is only for 4 months. I wonder I might not be able to apply for X1 from the embassy and the might just give me X2! In case of geting X2, is it possible to apply for rsident permite when Im there by paying one year tuition fee!?? Many thanks

GUEST67345	If you just study for 4 months, I guess that the embassy will give the X2. It's usually a single entry one. Moreover, you can't change it into a resident permit.

GUESTROBERT LY	Hi Babakbyatt, The visa that you are issued depends on the JW201. If the JW201 says you are only there for 4 months then your visa will most likely only be issued for that duration.
