Do I need to arrange visa in advance for Hainan, or simply on arrival?

guest18203 I'm from Belgium and visiting Taiwan and Hainan this summer.


On my flight from Taipei-Guangzhou-Sanya(Hainan) I have a 6 hours stopover, and I would like to use the "72-hour visa-free transit policy" to make a quick visit to the city of Guangzhou. Is this possible?

GUEST5783 Sorry, your route isn't qualified for 72 hours free transit. You have to apply for a Chinese tourist visa in advance. Then you can visit Guangzhou and Sanya without a problem.
