72 Hour Transit Visa

I have a question regarding the 72 hour transit visa.

Is my itinerary possible to get the free visa:

Seoul > (Transfer in Xiamen) Beijing > Hong Kong > Phuket

I plan to stop in Beijing but i'm not sure this will be possible due to the transfer in Xiamen.

If not then would a direct flight to Beijing from Seoul be okay.

GUEST40882 Hey, the transfer in Xiamen makes your route not eligible for the 72-hour visa-free transit. However, if you take a direct flight from Seoul to Beijing and then head for HK, you can use this free transit policy.
