I have rented a house, etc. but it would be a lot easier to have someone to translate and show me and my mom around for the evening so we get to spend as much time focusing on quality/fun things to do. I am staying walking distance from the East Nanjing Rd. station so that would be a good area to meet. Items that I'd like to do: 1) Eat some great food. I'd like to stop and try food at 3+ places. This can be everything from a food stall to a restaurant to your cousin's house. ;) I would just love to sample a bit of everything, try new things, and have a great experience. 2) Get drinks, relax. This is the secondary goal. I know the drinking culture is different, but if you can assist with having things to do until late in the night (bar/music/whatever) that would be great so that we use as many hours to us as possible. (Yes, I know I can look up a lot of places on TripAdvisor, etc. so this is really about finding the fun, quality ones). 3) Briefly stop by a couple of the tourist trap type things so we can take some photos, etc. but this should be only be 5-10% of the night.
