Hi can anyone help me to answer the questions below:

I am a Malaysian Chinese (nationality: Malaysian) who wants to marry an Egyptian man. He is a lecturer in a university in hangzhou (has work permit and resident Visa). Can we register our marriage in China (we are both not chinese citizens)? And can we arrange a Islamic marriage ceremony in a mosque in Hangzhou as we are both Muslim.

What are the processes and documents that we need to bring?
Do we need to register at Malaysian and Egyptian Embassy after we register successfully in China?

Anyone knows a contact number and website where we can find more details?

Thanks.

Pei Qi

GUESTLANCHESTER Hello there! You two can get married in PRC. And you can arrange your Islamic marriage ceremony on a mosque.

You need to prepare the passport, residence permit in PRC, single status certificate and other relevant documents required by the officers of the marriage registration department. And then go to the Department of Civil Affairs to register your marriage.

If you want to your marriage is recognized by your home country, you need to get your marriage certificate attested by the ministry of foreign affairs of PRC and the embassy of your home country in PRC.
After that, your marriage will be recognized in your country.
