Changing a City and School with a Valid X1 Visa but holder is Outside China.

guest78782	I have an issue with the Student X1 Visa. I ALREADY residents permit in my passport which is valid until the 31 AUG 2016 But I left China 4 Months ago when I lost my brother who was sponsoring my studies in China. However I got a new sponsorship and managed to secure a new place in another University in a different city from previous one. My question is Can I simply go to China with existing Visa and renew it in the New City or I have to restart the application process here in my Country soon I receive JW202 Any help would be greatly appreciated

GUESTDAVID	After you leave PRC, your last X1 type and residence permit will be voided. So you need to restart the application process in your home country to get a new X type and then apply for a new residence permit.
