is it possible to apply for (2 months) F-visa in China

guest25224	i am currently living in Wuhan, China on a Residence Permit, but will expire at the end of July (i graduated). is it possible to apply for (2 months) F-visa in China to be able to stay until September, so i can move to my new university in Shanghai? i have received the admission notice and JW201 documents already from the university in Shanghai. if not possible to apply in China, is it possible to apply in Hongkong? please help

GUEST04154	I'm afraid you can't get this F visa. You may get a tourist L type visa at the local PSB if you apply for it before your residence permit ends, but I'm not sure whether its validity can be as long as two months. If you can't apply, it's possible to apply for it in HK.
