Dual citizenship for Chinese visa?
Aug 23, 2016 12:13
guest24289 Hello! I would like to visit China next year, and I am just reading about applying for a Chinese visa. I am a British citizen, however - I have noticed the price for a visa for China is £85. I have a Jamaican passport also, and the price for a visa then is only £10! Would there be any implications of using my Jamaican passport to enter China? I'm talking about if I end up in trouble and I need help from an embassy... Any responses will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

GUEST04154 Well, if you apply from a country other than the above two, it doesn't matter which passport you use. If you apply from Jamaica, you have to use the Jamaican passport. If you apply from the UK, you have to use the UK passport. It may be easier to get the visa if you use the UK passport.
