 | Hi, I will be styding for 1 year in Beijing, Sept. 2005 to Sept. 2006. I would like to make friends before hand,and also if anyone can give me information on what things I should consider for packing for a yera in China, don't know whatever advice you might give me would be extremely helpfull, as it's my first time in China. | Hi Tania I'll be in Beijing this year, studying too. Be glad to make friends with you. I'd recommend packing as light as possible, as most day-to-day things you can buy in Beijing when you get here. Let me know if you have any specific quesyions about the place, I'd be glad to help. |

| Hi, I recommend you bring as little as possible, you can buy everything you need in Beijing. You can buy some cool clothes in the bigger shopping malls, bargain for shoes, and everything else in the indoor markets, and most foodstuffs can be found in the expat grocery stores and major supermarkets - if you are craving anything in particular that is.
