How do I tell if a tracking number is real or fake

guest24299	I got a tracking/routing number for something I ordered. I am trying to find out if it is real or fake. The customer service number I called gave it to me, but said I had to call international tracking to get information. The number is RN881204431R0 or letter O. I don't know if the RN is part of the number. Also the last number is either a letter O or a Zero. Can anyone help me figure this out? Thanks you
