Hi we are disembarking from a cruise ship at Shanghai and will be staying two nights, with a total stay of 55.25 hours. One of us will be traveling on a New Zealand passport the other on an Australian passport. I have heard that we will qualify for the new 144 hour transit visa and as long as our passports have at least 6 months validity left at the time of travel, we have accommodation booked and we have confirmed departure flights booked from Shanghai. Can someone who knows whether this correct or not please confirm either way? Cheers...

Yes, this is correct. You qualify for the 144-hour free transit.

We are flying into Shanghai from San Francisco on July 8 at 5:40pm. May we fly out of Nanjing on July 14 at 12:55pm to Busan, South Korea on the 144-hour visa-free transit? Or do we need to fly out of Shanghai? Thanks for any advice :)
