I am foreigner working in Wenzhou, China and holding a residence permit. I would like to bring my visa here soon (on S1 visa) and apply for a residence permit for her. In my case a colleague of mine took me to the right hospital for medicals, the entry-exit bureau, where I received a booklet for foreign expert certificate and took me to the police station (this is the only place I filled form), where I got my residence permit stamped on my passport. In all those places, she spoke Chinese for me got the job done.

Do I have to go to those same 3 places again to get residence permit with my wife? She isn’t going to work here so the “foreign experts certificate” is not needed for her I think? In all those places my colleague carried few forms and multiple passport sized photos of me, what forms do I need and where can I download them beforehand? Also, I need to mange my way through those offices with my English.

GUEST40882 No, you don’t need to go to those same 3 places when you apply for the residence permit for your wife. She needs to go to the right hospital to have physical examination, and then go to the police station to apply for the residence permit.
As for the forms, you can search for it from the official website of the public security bureau in Wenzhou, but it is a Chinese website. If possible, you’d better find a Chinese friend to help you with that.
