guestYamanid We are from Uk, flying to Singapore, then picking up a Cruise which is visiting :- Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, XIAMEN, Hong Kong, Taipei, Tokyo, Osaka, Incheon and ending up in Shanghai
We are having all sorts of contradictory information as to what Visa requirement we need and have been told by Chinese embassy in Edinburgh that they are unable to give us any advice
Is there anyone who can enlighten us about this information please

GUEST81644 If your travel route is Bangkok-Ho Chi Minh City-XIAMEN-Hong Kong and transit in Xiamen for not exceeding 24 hours, you will be able to enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Xiamen. If you will go to a third country or region after visiting Shanghai for not more than 144 hours, you can enjoy the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai. In this case, no visa will be required. However, you’d better confirm that with the cruise ship company.

GUEST21462 Thank you so much for your reply - I think there have been so many changes recently, hence the reason for us getting soon many different answers to what our requirements are for our visit to China
I truly hope that we can go on what you are saying as it would save a lot of hassle and expense
We have been told by the Cruise Line now that we require a DOUBLE ENTRY Visa for this Asia trip !!!!!!!!
It is getting worse H E L P
