I am landing in Beijing on Feb 5 and will be looking for the best way to get to Vladivostok. I understand Beijing to Harbin (via train) and Harbin - Vladivostok (fly) is the best option. Any suggestions? Background: (I am a 22-year-old journalist from S.Africa. I am embarking on a two-month self discovery journey in Feb 2006 into Russia, passing through China and later Germany). I will also look to stay in China for a few days.

MERMAID Points: Join Date: Jan 7, 2005 Status: Offline	Plivet, dlyk, u can go from Harbin to Sui Fen He by train and from Sui Fen He to Vladivostok by lux bus. In Chinese, Vladivostok is Hai Shen Wai.

I have heard that foreigners are not allowed to cross from Heihe to Blagoveschensk. What about from Fuyuan to Khabarovsk? How is the travel from Beijing to Fuyuan? What about the crossing from Hunchun?
