GUEST40882 It depends on how serious the crime is. If it's a minor crime, you still have the chance to get a China tourist visa.

GUEST22137 I will be applying for a visitation Chinese visa soon but I have a felony record for bank robbery in 1992. I've had a clean record ever cents. Will this stop me from being approved for a visitation visa to China ?

I've been to China 8 times in 8 years, after having a conviction for possession and use of Heroin, some 10 or so years ago. I was asked for a copy of my Police Record, and since have supplied it every year that I apply for my Visa. The original one, as I have had no further problems. Very important to state that you will obey all laws and Instructions from Public Figures whilst you are staying in China. i forgot once, and was asked to supply a form stating as such.
