Within a blink of an eye, the cold winter season is almost gone. As the saying goes, “You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep the Spring from coming.” Now, how many of you are excited about Spring? Well, I am! Today, we’re going to learn 5 phrases about Spring.

1. 风和日丽 (fēng hé rì lì)
风和日丽 (fēng hé rì lì) refers to the lovely weather. It literally means the gentle breeze and the nice weather with the clear sky.
Zài fēng hé rì lì zǎochen, zuì shìhé qù mànpǎo
It’s the perfect weather to go for a jog in such a lovely morning.
2. 春光明媚 (chūnguāng míngmèi)
春光明媚 (chūnguāng míngmèi) meaning, the spring scene is nice and beautiful. It literally means spring season is sweet and cute.
Hěn gāoxìng zài zhè chūnguāng míngmèi de hǎo shíjié, xiàng dàjiā wènhǎo
I’m glad to greet you all in such a lovely spring season.
百花齐放 (bǎihuāqífàng) stands for all the flowers that blossom in the same period of time. It also means that different kinds of art style are flourishing in their own way.
Měishù guǎn zhǎn chūle xǔduō xīn zuòpǐn, zhēnshi bǎihuāqífàng, měibùshèngshōu
The art museum exhibited many new works, all of them are incredible and amazing.
4. 春暖花开 (chūnnuǎn huā kāi)
春暖花开 (chūnnuǎn huā kāi) refers to the spring season when the flowers blossom. It also means the perfect timing for work or study.
Ràng wǒmen yíngjiē zhè chūnnuǎn huā kāi de hǎo shíjié
Let us enjoy this perfect season of spring.
5. 鸟语花香 (Niǎoyǔhuāxiāng)
鸟语花香 (Niǎoyǔhuāxiāng) means the singing of the birds and the scent of the flowers during springtime.
Chūntiān dàole, gōngyuán lǐ chùchù niǎoyǔhuāxiāng
It’s spring, the park is filled with the melody of the birds and the nice smell of the flowers.
