Info about living in Shenzhen

I'm an Indian IT Consultant and I'll be living in
Shenzhen for a year with my wife.So I needed some info on the city. Some of the things I wanted to know are..

1. Is it easy to get vegetarian food in Shenzhen?
2. How difficult it is get along if you don't know
Chinese?
3. I heard that the security situation in Shenzhen is
not that good. Is it true?

Vegetarian food is not hard to get but it is also up to how strictly vegetarian you are.

Security is a problem but not that horrible.

Do not carry too much cash with you and do not linger too late in the evening.

Vegetables are good in price generally. You should watch out for those that have too much agricultural chemicals. Those that have holes are safer to eat.

Just don't overdress and don't carry too much valuables. Otherwise walking in the street during daytime is quite safe. Keep away from districts loaded with lower skill workers.

You will be fine!
